Big money spending clubs, part I

I'm sure some football fans are glad to see the back of the summer transfer window, as they have kept there big names and maybe bought good players, but others are probably disappointed that there manager wasted money on an unnecessary players or that they needed to sign more. But some fans who will be ecstatic about the signings the manager has made, will probably be fans of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City.

Real Madrid have been wise and have invested mainly in the youth to protect there 'El Galatico' status for the future, the likes of Spanish superstar Sergio Canales, Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira, Angel Di Maria, Pedro Leon and the international experience of the aging Ricardo Carvalho. They decided that they weren't going to try and save a few million and spent what they felt was above enough to pay for the new players, one exception was a miserly €5 million for 18 year old Sergio Canales a certain future great. Although he's only had two first team season at Racing Santander what he has shown is been showing off his outstanding quality. Now he's at Real Madrid he will trying to fill the boots of Kaka and tie down a first team place. His style of passing, vision and shooting has been compared to that of Paul Scholes and pace compared to the speed of Theo Walcott.
